Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are cultured from freshly collected Umbilical cord tissue. Processed, cultured and passaged cells are characterized to evaluate the expressions of CD73, CD90,CD105,CD11b, CD19, CD34, CD45, and HLA-DR like cell surface markers.
Culture expanded MSCs from the defined source have shown applications in neuroregeneration, peripheral vascular disease model, autoimmunity research domains.
